On 28–29^th September 2023, IGCC SustainMarkets, was in Nairobi, Kenya to conduct a Supply Chain Due Diligence Workshop in cooperation with the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce for Eastern Africa to extend capacity-building support for companies in the East Africa region.

The German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetz, or LkSG) which came into effect this year, represents a significant development in corporate responsibility and supply chain management.  The law obliges German companies to conduct due diligence on their supply chains and to take necessary measures to identify and minimise human rights and environmental risks.
